Hi, I am Nora Sika, a Latvian based in New York City.

Photography has been my passion since early on. I have completed photography classes and interned in a high fashion magazine photoshoots as a lighting set-up assistant in New York City. While in high school, I specialized in visual arts, learning figure drawing for three years at "Uldis Roga Drawing Studio" in Latvia. The motive was to take the centralized test and pursue architecture. The following summer, I worked as a precision painter for a client, creating a decorative ceiling painting.

Aside from my artistic ambitions, I have the experience of developing and operating a business. For my last three years of high school, I participated in a Junior Achievement - Young Enterprise Latvia that required writing a business plan and managing a business. I won third place in a City in Public Speaking contest that was held in two languages - Latvian and English. During my penultimate year of high school, I participated in the European Youth Parliament Latvia (One of the 40 National Committees of the EYP, a volunteer-based international platform for political debate, cultural exchange, and personal development).

I relocated to New York City in December 2014, where I have been producing the majority of my current work. 

2019 graduated from BMCC, City University New York, with an Associate in Liberal Arts AA, with electives in graphic/web design, studied visual arts, and practiced painting skills. 

I have been honored to showcase my work in two student art shows at The Shirley Fiterman Art Center. 

I have had the experience of being a social media operator and project manager for a startup company in New York City. 

During my OPT, I held an Office Manager role at Robin Ruth USA, practicing branding, advertising, and advocacy of the company's identity. Operating all necessary office manager roles: administration, management, and organization. Additionally, I worked in an executive role, reporting directly to the company's owner. I was building Robin Ruth's Store's online presence and e-commerce and a strategic advertising plan. Further, I utilized my photography and graphic design skills to produce content for marketing.

I am currently studying Business Communications at Baruch College, New York.
